The Bridge over Kirribilli - Sydney, Australia

I took the camera and went for a walk around the new neighbourhood on Sunday evening to familiarise myself with the area. I timed it to end up by the water near Cremore Point around Sunset and was quite happy to find a few clouds in the sky.

The Sydney Skyline - Australia

The panorama above was created by stitching 5 images together. I would have liked to have a slightly more interesting sky but I'm not too disappointed with this for a first attempt from a new location. The red glow on the buildings was created by the sun setting from the right of the frame.  The fact that the sun was setting from the right of the frame created darker areas on the left of the frame.

All these photographs were taken with the Canon 7D and the 24-105mm lens. I used a couple of graduated ND filters for the first photograph to bring out the foreground a bit more. A tripod was also used to allow for exposures from 13 to 30 seconds.
